Hi, I’m Carlie—and this is The Messy Manifesto, a lifestyle blog for the creatively caffeinated, the gloriously scattered, and anyone who’s ever felt like their passions don’t fit into a single, tidy box.
If you’ve ever started a DIY project with glitter in your hair and a piece of cheese in your hand… If you’ve ever read five books at once while planning a trip and reorganizing your closet… If you’ve ever felt like your life is a moodboard with no theme but vibes—you’re in the right place.
This blog is my love letter to creative chaos. It’s where food meets fiction, fashion flirts with travel, and DIY disasters are celebrated like battle scars. It’s a space for cozy rituals, cat hair, and the kind of emotional storytelling that makes you feel seen.
🧁 What You’ll Find Here
- Food & Mood: Recipes, snack obsessions, and the occasional emotional baking session.
- Bookish Things: Reviews, reading rituals, and literary tangents.
- Style & Storytelling: Personal style, branding ideas, and voice-driven creativity.
- Travel Tangents: Wandering thoughts, cozy destinations, and packing chaos.
- DIY & Disasters: Crafting, creating, and embracing the mess.
I’m not here to teach you how to be perfect. I’m here to remind you that perfection is overrated—and glitter is forever.
🐾 Who’s Behind the Blog
I live in the Pacific Northwest with my boyfriend and two cats, Zag and Zeldy, who are both deeply committed to making their presence known at all hours of the day while also making me jelly of their napping habits. I’ve spent years in customer service, admin, and leadership roles—and now I’m building a brand that feels like a cozy, glittery, chaotic retreat for multi-passionate misfits.
I believe in emotionally intuitive communication, warm design, and the sacred art of naming things with wit. I believe in snacks. I believe in starting before you’re ready.
💌 The Manifesto
- We honor the mess.
- We romanticize the chaos.
- We wear graphic Ts with confidence.
- We create without apologizing.
- We believe in glitter as a neutral.
So whether you’re here for the snacks, the cat content, or the creative inspiration—I’m so glad you found your way to this messy little corner of the internet.
Let’s make something beautiful. Or at least something weird and wonderful.
